Data Protocols

Data Protocols or data action plans (DAPs) help turn data into decisions. A DAP of any kind can be thought of as a document that answers for an organization the question, "What do we do when we ________?" Data protocols help set the process for acting on data, as opposed to simply looking at the data and being more informed than before!

Some DAPs are best for leaders to use for balcony-view action planning. These plans help identify and use macro-level data to make decisions about school programs and efforts. Other DAPs are used for teachers to use data to plan lessons based on their students' performance.

At the bottom of this page are three examples of data action plans to use in order to reflect on data and plan for future responsive action. Feel free to download them and adopt for your own use!
